THURSDAY MARCH 7
SUMMARY: Yesterday we saw how glaciers REALLY impacted where Canadians live. Today we'll analyze a new Physical Geography feature - Plate Tectonics. We'll look at the basic composition of the Earth's surface with a big focus on the concept Continental Drift (the idea that the plates MOVE). After going over the basics of tectonic movement, you guys will do some inquiry into how tectonic activity impacts Canada - specifically British Columbia.
LEARNING GOAL: : By the end of the lessons students will have an understanding of plate tectonics so that they can evaluate the impact it has on Canada and the Earth
